Welcome to Year 2!
I’m Mrs Harries, and I’m delighted to have your child in my class this year. Having worked at our school for about 20 years, I’ve seen many changes, but the children have always remained at the heart of everything we do.
One of my favourite books is So Much by Trish Cooke, as it reminds me of my childhood in Trinidad and the songs my grandmother sang to each new grandchild. I’ve passed this tradition on to my own children and now to my little grandson, which makes it even more special.
It’s a privilege to be part of your child’s learning journey, and I’m eager to see where this year takes us.
Mrs B Pearce
Hello!
I’m Mrs Pearce and very excited to be working with your child in Year 2. I love spending family days out with my children, Tillie and Fred. I also enjoy watching and playing sports—especially lacrosse and football. I’m an Everton supporter, and my favourite book is Wonder by R. J. Palacio.

Y2 Homework
|
Reading |
Please ensure that children are reading for at least 15 minutes every day and that this is noted in their reading record. Additionally, please ensure that their reading book and reading record are brought to school every day so that adults at school can listen to them read.
