Healthy Living Week
Once a year, we come off timetable for an entire week and take part in what we call 'Healthy Living Week.' We dedicate a whole week to developing our pupils' knowledge on how to live a healthy lifestyle. We incorporate lots of physical activities into the week, with our teachers delivering activities such as athletics, rounders and football. We also focus on other aspects of healthiness, too, with our teachers delivering activities based on healthy eating, spirituality, mental health and teeth. Throughout the week, we host our sports days, and we work with external providers of sport such as Skip2bfit, who provide a skipping workshop. Last but not least, and this is usually the highlight of the week, we bring in an inflatable obstacle course for a whole day with every pupil in the school having a go.
