Mrs. Patricia Reilly
Vice Chair of Governors
Foundation Governor
My name is Patricia Reilly and I was appointed as a Foundation Governor in 2012. A Foundation Governor is appointed by the Bishop and has the responsibility of sustaining and developing the Catholic ethos and distinctive Catholic nature of our school. Also, each governor has special responsibilities and sits on different committees to support the overall strategic direction of the school.
My special interests are Special Educational Needs and PHSE (Personal, Health and Social Education) and I currently sit on the Policy and Curriculum and Pay and Personnel committees. My role is not to evaluate the individual teachers or pupils but more to understand and challenge school policy and strategy to ensure our children achieve their full potential not only academically but also personally and socially. Being a governor is a hugely rewarding and challenging role and my aim is to help support our school to go from Good to Outstanding as part of an engaged and effective Governing Body.
My background has always been in the National Health Service. I qualified as a Midwife in 1997. However, now I am the Head of Operational Support Services in the Informatics Department at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. I am married with two wonderful children, William and Evelyn, and when I have the time I enjoy music, running and swimming.
